Get Outside Champion

So last week I announced on my social media channels that I have been selected as an Ordnance Survey Get Outside Champions. I’m so excited to join a group of 99 other like minded outdoorsy people to achieve some great things over the next year.

My role as a Get Outside Champion is to educate, entertain and inspire the nation and to keep my audience engaged with the outdoors. I hope to use my wealth of experience as a Rights of Way Officer and Access Field Officer to educate the great british public in all things rights of way and hopefully inspire you to get involved in recording the rights that will be lost in 2026 if we don’t act now. I’m sure many of you are entertained by the featuring of my two dogs Milo and Sydney every now and then, I will carry on uploading photos of our adventures within the UK and beyond. I will inspire everyone to get involved with the Ordnance Survey activities such as the Step Up Challenge as well as other great outdoorsy adventures like the Great British Campout for the NHS.

Covid-19 has put a hold on being able to really #GetOutside at the moment so I encourage you to follow the government guidelines and we can all #GetOutsideInside for now. Make sure that you get your outdoor fix somehow still whether that listening to outdoor podcasts, following adventuring social media channels or getting out to enjoy the outdoors during your once daily form of exercise.
